Solenn Heussaff on being the most badass star in today’s generation

Glam girl Solenn Heussaff is about to make jaws drop as she reinvents herself, this time, as an action star.

To give credence to her role as the heroine of the action film, Solenn underwent intensive training under Hollywood trained fight guru and action director Sonny Sison, who has over 25 years’ experience as a stunt performer and action actor.

In the course of the training, Sison publicly expressed his admiration on social media for Solenn’s determination, and for not having the pwede na mentality. “She makes time to train and rehearse as much as she can. Far beyond what others expect from her. This is the #commitment #fightchoreographers wish all actors would have,” he posted. 

“Solenn’s dedication was evident throughout the entire process,'' The film’s director, Joel Limchoc said. “This was definitely one of the more rigorous shoots I’ve done, with only 26 hours to bring PJB’s (Publicis Jimenez Basic, creative agency) storyboard to life. We were able to do it because Solenn came in very well-prepared with her training and was game to do anything and everything to get the best shot. Coupled with a great production team behind this project, it was truly one of the most memorable shoots I’ve done.”

The action begins in a smoky neighborhood food park where Solenn is out for dinner when a toxic and smoky presence emerges, and attacks her out of nowhere.

Badass Solenn puts up a valiant fight that showcases her newfound fighting moves, using a wok and mop before she eventually takes hold of her secret weapon in her handbag. The enemy faces a quick death as it comes into contact with Vitress Hair Freshener. 

Aside from Solenn’s remarkable fight scenes, adding more intensity and power to this action film was the superb editing of an international post-prod house who have worked on projects like Lord of the Rings and The Greatest Showman.
